Abused Yorkies
It might be hard to phantom, but there are abused Yorkies out there. Either because their clients do not know or want to properly care for them, or their financial situation has become one where they cannot properly care for their dog anymore.
If you think you might know where some abused Yorkies are, there are several things you can try and do.
Talk To Owner
First of all, try and talk to the owner and see if there is something you can do to help. Don’t bring the subject up in a threatening manner, but just ask if there is anything you can do for them. It could be providing a bag of food, or paying a vet bill.
Further Action
If the owner refuses to remedy the abused Yorkie situation there are others things you can do, but make sure that the dog is actually suffering, versus you just thinking the dog could be happier.
Calling animal control, or the local humane society is the next step for most people. While we don’t like to get people into trouble or embrass them, sometimes it is best for the dog and the owners.
The dog will be better care for, and in mose cases, I’m sure the owners are releived to know that the dog will be properly cared for.

While dealing with these cases can be very difficulte emotionally for you, remember to do right by the dog. You will sleep much better at night!
