Buy a Yorkie puppy and stimulate the economy today!  Purebred Yorkie puppies can cost several hundred dollars or more depending on the pedigree of the parents.  If you are just looking for a pet than almost any Yorkie will do.  But if you are thinking about showing or breeding your Yorkie, then you must spend the money to get a high quality dog.

One thing many people don’t realize is that if you want a purbred dog many times you have to wait, and sometimes wait for several months.  Since top breeders can only produce a certain amount of puppies a year, many times there is a waiting list of people who want to buy the puppies, so start looking early.

Before you put down cash for your Yorkie to get on the breeders waiting list, make sure the breeder is reputable and is good on his word.

You can check these things out by asking him to provide dog show placings, and the contacts of previous clients who have bought from him.

Call a few of these people who bought a yorkie puppy from him and see if they are satisfied.

Also talk to the local Yorkie dog club and see if they know of any information on that breeder, either good or bad.  Local dog clubs are often the best source of information for this.

If and when you do actually get a yorkie puppy, make sure the contract has a clause in it where you can take the puppy to the veterinarian within 72 hours from purchase to a check up.

This is important because since you are spending several hundreds of dollars on this dog you want to make sure you get a healthy dog that is free from disease, both genetic and spontaneous.

Whatever you do when you go out to look for a new puppy, be sure not to buy the first one that you see.  Take your time and examine all your options so you don’t rush in to making a mistake.
