Micro Yorkie
Micro yorkies go by many names. You may also see them advertised as teacup yorkies, doll face yorkie, or any combination of these like tiny teacup yorkies. Since these breeders don’t go by the naming standards they can make up any name they want.
Be careful of breeders like this. These people do not follow the ethics code from the Yorkshire Terrier Club of America. They actually had to make a code stating advertising these dogs as micro, teacup, or doll face was not ethical.
Also remember these dogs are likely not the healthiest dogs either. These dogs are unnaturally small and there is a lot of inbreeding going on with these tiny dogs so many genetic problems are a result.
Micro Yorkies generally will cost you about $3000 dollars, so you have to think if spending this much money on a dog of questionable quality is worth it.
I know of one lady who was burned twice by breeders of these tiny dogs. They can guarantee their health for only so long. If they tell you these dogs live to be 14 to 15 years old they are probably lying to you.
Most of these dogs die young simply because they don’t have the ability to thrive.
Short muzzles give the breathing problems, and the apple shaped head is actually a form of hydrocephalus.
