Yorkie Hair Cuts
Yorkie hair cuts are fun and easy to give. If you spend money at a groomers, but no longer want to or can, then try to groom your own dog. I started off doing this years ago and now can give a great hair cut. I urge you to start trimming your own dog. You will be perfect at first, but everyone has to start somewhere and remember the hair will grow back.
All you need to give a haircut is a cheap clippers with various attachments that you can get from Walmart, and you need a blunt tipped scissors for trimming the face.
Some people just use a clippers to trim their Yorkie all over. There is not right way to trim a Yorkie. Whatever looks best to you just do it.
I normally use the clippers on the body and use a scissors for the head and legs to leave that hair longer.
If you let your Yorkie outside and it is dirty out, you may want to trim the leg hair closer so your dog stays cleaner.
Remember it is always a good idea to wash your dog before grooming and let them dry. This may not seem like it would make a big difference, but I find giving hair cuts much easier this way.
Only use a blunt tipped scissors to trim around the eyes and nose. Dogs can turn their heads quickly and you don’t want any accidents.
If you do trim your yorkie please let me know and I’ll post a picture of your Yorkie hair cuts.
