Yorkie Poo puppies are very cute and the demand for them seems to be increasing.  They are also commonly called Yorkiedoodle, Porkies, or Pookies.  Whatever they are called, they are a cross between a Yorkshire Terrier and a Poodle.

One of the best features of these dogs is they are considered to be non-shedding and hypoallergenic, which makes is a great choice for allergy sufferers or for people who want to avoid developing dog allergies.

They are about the size of a Yorkie, but the hair coat more closely resembles that of a Poodle.  The hair is soft and silky.  The hair can be wavy, curly, or straight and comes in a wide range of colors.

Their coat needs to brushed regularly to prevent mats and their ears need cleaning and possibly plucking.

The ears can either stand up like a Yorkie’s ears, or droop like a Poodle’s ears.

They normally weigh about 6 to 12 pounds.  This small size makes the perfect for apartment and condo dwellers or anyone who wants a small unique dog.

They have a great personality and are considered to be very smart.  If you are thinking about buying Yorkie Poo puppies make sure you buy from a reputable dealer and that they come with a health certificate.

Remember that these dogs come from a cross between two purbred breeds, so the offspring are not 100% similar, each puppy will be unique which is probably why people seem to love the Yorkie Poo so much.
